How Our Network Works
Talk with a local provider
The Person on the Other End
A lot of people think they are calling a big pest company when they contact Hikingtop Pest Control. In practice, your request goes to an independent local provider who serves your area, or to a marketing partner who connects homeowners with those providers. The person who calls you back works for the provider. They can answer questions about the problem, set up a visit and give you a price.
The First Call
The first call is usually short and practical. Expect questions like:
- What have you seen, and where in the home?
- How long has it been going on?
- Are there children, pets or anyone with health concerns at home?
- When are you usually available?
If an animal is inside the living space, say so at the start so the provider knows it is urgent. Photos of droppings, insects or damage help a lot.
Questions Worth Asking
Before you agree to anything, ask:
- Are you licensed and insured for this work in this state?
- What do you think the problem is, and how did you decide?
- What method or product do you plan to use, and why?
- How many visits are included, and over what time?
- What happens if the problem comes back?
- Can I see the estimate in writing before I decide?
Write the answers down. If you talk to a second provider, ask the same questions so you can compare fairly. Matching notes make it easy to see which plan covers more.
You Are in Charge
A good provider gives you a written estimate and time to think. You can compare quotes, ask follow-up questions and decide when you are ready. There is no obligation to hire anyone you speak with through Hikingtop Pest Control.
